Waiapu Kids Te Hapara Whānau Aroha is offering a scholarship for an enthusiastic and passionate ECE Teaching Assistant. Join our supportive and fun team as an ECE Teaching Assistant on a permanent basis working 30+ hours per week (negotiable).  Reporting to the ECE Centre Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Providing children with a safe, welcoming and nurturing enviornment
  • Encouraging and supporting children to learn and grow through child lead activites
  • Building meaningful, respectful and trusting relationships with tamariki, whāanu and peers
  • Assisting in delievering our curriculum

What we’re looking for

  • This role will suit someone who is currently studying Early Childhood Education or is at the beginning of their early childhood career
  • You’ll have a passion for working with children and get real satisfaction seeing them learn and grow
  • Experience working with children preferred but not essential
  • Someone looking for a career in early childhood education not just a job.

About Waiapu Kids Te Hapara

Waiapu Kids Te Hapara Whānau Aroha is a licensed Early Childhood Centre that provides care and education for up to 50 children from 8.30am to 3.00pm each weekday. We are under the umbrella of Anglican Care Waiapu (ACW) which is the social services arm of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu. Waiapu Kids Te Hapara is a whānau aroha centre which is an innovative model empowering  tamariki and whānau to realise their aspirations and enhance their wellbeing
